Section 1: Story.
Solid Snake, or should I say Old Snake is on his final mission to stop Liquid (Snake's Nemesis) from taking control of the worlds military and the Patriots system. However, Snake is falling victim to an accelerated aging process that are causing his abilities to suffer and will be his end in a matter of months.
The effects of the accelerated aging process.
Section 2: Gameplay.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is an amazing Tactical Stealth game. All viewing modes are accessible including 3rd, 2nd and 1st person are available. 3rd person for moving around and sneaking, 2nd for shooting, and first person both for shooting and viewing ahead. When playing through a level, you will want to make use of all these view in order to male your way through each level without being hurt too badly. In previous games, all weapons and items for use were POS (pickup on site...lol). This time around it's a little bit different. You can still pickup most of your weapons, but now there is the addition of Drebin's shop, a place for buying weapons, ammo, and very handy items. Also, most of the weapons you pick up are ID locked. To unlock the weapons, you must contact Drebin to launder them for you.
With the newly included Armory that snake seems to carry on his back, you may feel compelled to Run 'n' Gun your way through the game. This (however fun) is not the way to play the game. Stealth is the way you should play, and you will be greatly rewarded for taking the shadowed routes. One of Snakes new gadgets is the amazing Octocamo suit. Octocamo blends in with the current area. For example, if Snake is lying down on a tiled floor, the Octocamo will analyze the the pattern of the tiles and copy it, thus giving snake a great way to hide from enemies. Lots 'o' fun to blend in with the ground and wait for enemies to pass in order for you to escape or initiate a surprise knife kill.
Section 3: Graphics.
The best. No game I have ever seen looks as good as this one. Both the indoor and outdoor environments look outstanding as well as the characters and weapons. Really everything just looks flawless. Water effects are very accurate when toyed with and wind effects couldn't be better. Some grass even bends when stepped upon.
Section 4: Extras.
I don't think that there is a game that has more to unlock and more reasons to keep playing through the main game than this one. Over 60 guns to unlock, 40 game completion medals, which allow for unlockables, and hundreds of ways to kill, knockout or remove them from your way. There are literally hundreds of ways to complete each level and avoid enemy contact. I mean, so many guns, special items, extras, secrets, and easter eggs, I honestly think that I'd prefer easter eggs and unlockables to achievements any day.
Section 5: Online play.
MGO is basically the same as any other online shooter, except instead of just gunning for the enemies in each gametype, you can stealth your way across maps and execute enemies. Headshots are rather easy to get and the knife can get pretty cheap, but all is fair in love for war. Also, characters from story mode will appear in an online game for help aswell.
Section 6: Wrap up.
Well, you should probably get the point by now, but if you don't, this game is AWESOME! If I had to pick one game to be a perfect one, this is it. Here is a Pros and Cons list.
Pros:
